Cattle Cotillion: The Online Series & Featured Auction Option

The Cattle Cotillion is a guided Cowgirl Confident experience that leads to a high-trust online auction in May. Calves eligible for the featured auction are developed through months of live education, intentional preparation, and veterinary inspection with transparent health documentation, giving both sellers and buyers added confidence.

The Cattle Cotillion Online Series is a live-led, step-by-step program designed to help participants confidently develop their calves at home. Inspired by the tradition of a cotillion, the series blends preparation, presentation, creativity, and community—applied directly to real cattle work.

Sessions are presented live beginning in late January and recorded for on-demand access, allowing participants flexibility while maintaining accountability.

Base course $350, Optional DVAuction entry: 1 calf $250, 2 calves $475, 3 calves $700

You do not have to own or actively develop a calf to benefit from this series.

Program Flow

• Late January–April 1: Weekly live instruction (Tuesdays, 8:00–9:00 PM CT)
• April: Prep & Polish phase with optional support sessions
• May 2: Live & Online Cattle Cotillion DVAuction (optional) correlating with our Spring '26 Cowgirl Confident Ladies' Event at Clayton Corner Farm

• A Feather Pinning Design Contest for themselves and their calf
• A Final Costume Introduction Video used in auction promotion
• A People’s Choice Award for the most-liked costume video

These elements add personality while helping buyers connect with the farm behind the calf.

This auction is the culmination of the Cotillion journey—not just a sale.

Calves featured in the auction are developed through a shared educational framework and supported by:

• Consistent handling and socialization
• Grooming and care routines
• Nutrition and conditioning education
• Biosecurity awareness
• Veterinary inspection and transparent health documentation
• Clear photos, videos, and seller communication
• Auction catalog

Buyers gain confidence knowing calves were prepared with intention, care, and accountability—not rushed to market.

Participation in the auction is optional.
