Dr. Temple Grandin
PROFESSOR | AUTHOR | LIVESTOCK BEHAVIOR EXPERT
Dr. Temple Grandin kicked off our Spring ’25 Cowgirl Confident for a special day of agricultural education. During her visit, she spoke with area 4-H and FFA students and later presented to Cowigrl Confident event registrants, sharing her knowledge and experience in livestock behavior, handling and animal welfare.
Amanda Radke
RANCHER | AUTHOR | AGRICULTURAL SPEAKER
Amanda Radke joined Cowgirl Confident at the Fall 2025 Ladies’ Event keynote speaker. A South Dakota rancher, author and longime advocate for agriculture and rural America, Amanda brought her firsthand perpective on ranching, leadership and keeping producers connected to agriculture. Her work also extends to the next generation through her children’s books, which introduce young readers to agriculture and where their food comes from.
Matt & Kari Feldhaus
RANCHERS | YOUTUBE CREATORS | AGRICULTURAL EDUCATORS
Matt and Kari Feldhaus of Oak Creek Ranch and content creators of the Ranching Sodak YouTube channel brought their South Dakota ranching experience to Cowgirl Confident at keynote speakers and instructors at our Fall ’25 Couples’ Event. Matt shared practical instruction on corral design and safer, more efficient cattle handling, while together they demonstrated the workflow of working cattle as a couple, Kari also introduced attendees to her Sodak Pete children’s book series, created to help kids connect with agriculture.
